I actually let out a pleased little squeak when I saw this because ohhh man, that is beautiful.
IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE!!
What if you rigged this on your porch so you press a button and the glass pours so when kids are at your door you press the button and this happens and you put red dye in it so it looks like blood
Woah, easy there Satan.

“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?”
what defeats people / is the double confession: Jupiter and Ganymede, photographed by Cassini, 6th January 2001.
4 frames, each made from a red, blue, and green filtered image. Jupiter and Ganymede composited separately (bottom left and bottom right, respectively) to compensate for their motion between imaging.
Not sure why the colour is so wacky; it’s possible that what I took to be visible light images are really triplets in other wavelengths, although this wouldn’t explain the shift in colour between frames.
